Are there any dormitory housing options?

Yes, we are proud to be able to offer housing at

Fitchburg State College, one of the race partners.

The circuit race goes right past the dorms.

What are the room options at Fitchburg State College?

The rooms are doubles, arranged in suites of 4 bedrooms with a living room and bathroom in each suite. There is air-conditioning, internet access (ethernet cable required), limited common kitchen areas and on-site management on-call if there are any problems.

What do the beds cost, and what is included?

The cost, per bed, for four nights, Wednesday through Saturday is $139.50. This includes linens and bikereg fee.

What about food?

Four nights lodging with meal plan at Fitchburg State College is $234.00. This fee also includes our opening night banquet at the Best Western Royal Plaza. There are also several restaurants that participate in our Racer Discount Program within walking/riding distance.

The food is provided by Chartwells Catering, which is Fitchburg State College’s food service provider.

Can I book a single room?

No, only if you pay for two beds.

Can I check in a day early or stay over on Sunday night?

Can I stay just one or two nights?

All reservations must be for the full race period of 4 nights, Wednesday July 2, 2008 through check out Sunday July 6, 2008.

How do I make reservations?

Make your reservations through www.bikereg.com. No other registrations will be accepted.

What is the reservation deadline?

All Fitchburg State College housing reservations must made before 3 p.m. June 18, 2007.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds must be requested before 3 p.m. June 18, 2008 by contacting housing@longsjo.com. There will be a $30.00 service fee.

Can I room with my teammates?

Please send an email to housing@longsjo.com We will do our best to accommodate such requests.

Are suites co-ed?

Yes, the suites are co-ed, but we will attempt to keep suites single sex unless specific roommate suite mate requests have been received.

What else is provided?

You will have a set of sheets, a pillowcase and 2 towels provided with your bed.

What if I need last minute housing at the dorms?

If any rooms have not been sold after the reservation deadline, they will be available at the college on a first-come, first served basis. The cost for the four nights will then be $175.00 or $265.00 with the meal plan if still available. Credit cards are not accepted at the dorms. Payment must be made by check.

When can I check in?

Room registration will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2008. If you are an early or late arrival, there will be a number for you to call posted at the dorms, so that you can check in.

How do I get there?

Please visit www.fsc.edu. There are maps of the campus and the housing is in Mara Village on Highland Street.

Is there any host housing?

There is very little host housing available. Most racers who have host housing are generally returning riders who have made friends in the community. You can send an email to housing@longsjo.com with details of what you are looking for. You can also try posting an inquiry to our Longsjo Forum / Google group. In the unlikely event that there is an available host, you will be contacted and put in touch directly with the host family. If no host housing is available, you will not be contacted.
