1.27.09 - The Fitchburg Longsjo Classic is proud to announce that registration for our 50th edition has officially opened on BikeReg.com. We have some amazing events planned for 2009, including the return of some of our greatest champions to celebrate with us. There are also some amazing developments at our host hotel, the Courtyard by Marriott Fitchburg (formerly Best Western Royal Plaza)
The Longsjo and Fitchburg’s Civic Days both celebrate 50 years in 2009, and we are so excited to share this amazing year together.

50th Longsjo Hosts
“Raleigh Boys” Reunion
2.28.09 - Adding to the growing list of events at this year’s historic 50th Annual Fitchburg Longsjo Classic will be a Reunion of the Original CRC of A “Raleigh Boys.”
In 1973 Raleigh Bicycles was the first sponsor to fund and support the most prolific US cycling team of the modern era. This 14-man team containing seven Olympians, four Hall of Fame members and U.S. National team members, competed and won major cycling events throughout the US, Canada and Mexico during the early 1970’s.

We’re pleased to announce the 2009 Pro-Team Discount Program for the 50th edition of the Longsjo. This improved discount program applies to Pro/1 Men, and Pro 1/2 Women.

Register the first riders online, and we’ll create manual entries for the complimentary positions.

If you have a past Longsjo champion on your team, current national or world champion, (any specialty, road, track, mountain, etc.) a member of the 2008 Olympic team (any specialty or nation) then that rider’s entry fee is automatically waived!

If one of your team directors or managers is a past Longsjo champion and is going to attend the 2009 Longsjo with the team, then we can add a bonus free registration!
